The Casa Rosada renovation project, funded by the Alubar Group, is inserted in the company's initiatives for preserving and revitalizing Belém's historical heritage. The project is being conducted by Fórum Landi, a group from the Pará Federal University that works to produce research on Amazonian history and implement studies and initiatives about the artistic and architectural heritage of Antonio Landi, the Casa Rosada's presumed builder.
During the restoration stage, the house will also work as a teaching-yard, to educate specialized operational labor. Bricklayers, electricians, carpenters and other professionals will be trained and educated to work in preservation and restoration. The goal is to reduce the serious lack of professionals in Belém who are qualified to perform this type of work.
The Casa Rosada will be transformed into a Cultural Center right in the middle of downtown Belém, as a way to stimulate and support multidisciplinary research on Amazonian history as regards its social, religious, artistic, architectural, urbanistic, scientific, economic and political aspects; in addition to studies and initiatives aiming to value the artistic and architectural legacy of Antonio Landi.
